Ok, just to get this straight. The Asus EeeBox has:
- an Intel Atom N270 (1.6GHz) processor
- 1GB of DDR2 RAM
- an Intel 945GSE Southbridge
- an 160GB Sata drive
- Intel GMA 950 graphics
- draft-n Wifi
- Gigabit Ethernet
- a card reader
While the Asus EeePC 1005HA has the exact same things, minus the Gigabit Ethernet (it has Fast Ethernet instead), plus:
- a 6-cell, 8.5 hour battery (doubles as a UPS)
- a 10.1-inch, 1024 x 600 (WSVGA) screen
- an integrated microphone and a 0.3-Mpixel webcam
- a keyboard and a touchpad
And the EeeBox is actually €14 more expensive??? (EeeBox=€294, 1005HA=€280, source: eprice.it)

An ok price would be around €200. May be you should check a Mac mini solution. Much more expensive, but actually a desktop at the size of a nettop…
The other option is what we discussed elsewhere
I really like this model!!!…
